MIAMI GARDEN – It continues to become one of the big events of the summer. The Crib Classic Invitation 7-on-7 football tournament.
With some of the best players and teams once again heading to Monsignor Pace this Thursday (July 9), it is all about competition and showcase the elite football that is played in the #305, #954 and #561 and will be on display in the qualifying event – and then on Sunday at Miami Christopher Columbus for the finals.
With defending state champions and nationally-rated players in action, coming away with the cash prize is the objective that several schools are excited about on Thursday and Sunday.
The Crib Classic is the competition arm of Beyond The Goalposts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to using sports as a way of providing young athletes with the tools they need to be successful, responsible members of their communities.
Dubbed as the New Wave of South Florida Sports, the Crib Classic hosts multiple event series in collaboration with our official media partner, 305 Sports, to give back to communities and provide unique opportunities to those in need.
It will be the third annual event that took place last year at Miami Christopher Columbus and the inaugural year at Miami Ransom Everglades. But it is certainly not the only thing that this group hosts.
In addition to the Crib Classic Invitational, there is the Miami-Dade vs. Broward All-Star Game, 8th Grade All-Star Game and The Crib Classic Open 7-on-7.
This Thursday will be more than football, with several sponsors and food vendors joining in to the day-long festivities.
