Unbeaten Coconut Creek Hosts No. 15 Cardinal Gibbons Tonight

While much of the attention this evening will be on Miami Gardens and Hard Rock Stadium, there is a key high school football game that could tell plenty about two teams.

When the No. 4 rated Miami Hurricanes host the Florida Gators in a huge matchup on national television, No. 11 Coconut Creek will put its unbeaten record on the line in a contest at home against No. 15 Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons.

While veteran head coach Matt Dubuc and his 1-1 Chiefs are Class 2A and head coach Chris Yeargin and his 4-0 Cougars are 5A, the game will have nothing to do with playoff slotting. But as far as area and state ranking this contest certainly will be one that will get plenty of attention.
