For the past two years, McArthur High’s football program has been one of the top programs in south Florida.
While the Mustangs have been up and down over the past five seasons, if you have followed this program over the past 40 years, you understand that they have always had talent, plenty of prospects to choose from and have been in the mix for the playoffs.

Back in the day, there was never a question when someone wanted to play multiple sports. In fact, it was encouraged. But times changed throughout the years – and each sport demanded year-round attention.
Playing two sports, while it’s still a huge plus, can cost you when missing out on events that are required to keep up with the competition.
We have gone over it plenty during the past few years – especially here in the off season - about the offensive line position in south Florida.
Because of the elite talent that we have in this region of the country, record numbers of college coaches head south to see some of the outstanding prospects that continue to emerge.
While these colleges are checking out some of those impressive prospects, they also get the chance – firsthand – to see that in south Florida, and throughout the state, the offensive line position is starting to be a place to create a pipeline and change the look of teams nationally – just like running backs, receivers and defensive backs have long done.
