Who Are The Top Players & What Roles Will They Play During The Season?
Work Ethic Has Paid Off For University School’s Max Balthazar

You hear all the time. Hard work pays off, and it certainly has for so many south Florida athletes.

Because of the many opportunities these athletes have to work during the off season, you can often see the results of the hard work and dedication that so many athletes put in.

The days of waiting until the last minute to get bigger, faster and stronger are over. Now, it’s a 365 days a year deal – and that’s what makes many of these prospects better.

BALTHAZAR PROFILE

PLAYER: Max Balthazar

POSITION: RB

SCHOOL: Davie University School

CLASS: 2021

HEIGHT: 5-11

WEIGHT: 185

SCOUTING: This one-time South Broward High standout made his move this past season to become the featured running back for the Sharks – and this past season – he showed why he is one of the top backs in the region.

Helping to add balance to one of the best passing games in south Florida, this quality running back certainly showed his speed, power and instincts for a program that was one of the top seeds among 4A schools.

Committing to attend Coastal Carolina, this season was to be all about getting head coach Max Luque and the Sharks back into the playoffs and taking things further with an offensive attack that was to be more wide open, using his talents much more this coming season.

After receiving a number of offers, Balthazar showed that hard work certainly paid off.

It will be fun watching a bigger and faster version of this young man in 2020.
