The youth programs are far superior than most areas of the country – and you are tested by high level talent from the first day you participate.
In south Florida, it is not enough to be a quality football prospect. What need to bring to the table to rise above some of the other prospects is much more.
Being versatile and capable of lining up at multiple positions is essential whenever you play high school football. It not only gives your high school coaches an opportunity to use you at different positions, but it also helps college coaches look at the prospects in many ways.
Sometimes a change of location can do an athlete good. And, while it doesn’t always work out, there are times when it does – and it’s a win/win for the student/athlete that football prospects heads to.
In south Florida, there are so many athletes – especially in the defensive secondary – that there is often not room at one position or another – and as athletes are always looking for playing time – there are instances making a move will actually work out.

In this day and age of high school football, being the “total package” is something that is hard to find.
But what is the “total package” when it comes to a 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grader? Isn’t that a phrase that is reserved for a college player or even someone who is competing at the professional level?
When we hand out any kind of labels or tags in any sport, it often comes from an impression made – and while it is usually related to athletic performance – sometimes it does include character, work in the classroom and being an outstanding teammate.
