Recruiting News

When over 200 athletes headed to the University of Miami on Sunday for the annual Legends Camp, it was indeed one of the most successful events that they have had.

While several former Hurricane stars came out to support the future prospects of tomorrow and show the many on hand how special this program has been through the decades, it was time for head coach Mario Cristobal and his entire staff to roll out the red carpet for some of the top players from across the country.

When we gave you the defensive standout who headed to Coral Gables, you read about some of the best that Miami-Dade and Broward Counties have to offer for the 2027 (seniors) class and beyond.

As impressive as the defensive prospects were  throughout the day, it was also time for the offensive players to do their thing, and when the camp had ended, many left impressed with the talent on hand.

The Class of 2027 was certainly in the spotlight as the two counties battled some of the best from this state and around the nation.

Among the local seniors included Esteban Laluz (RB, 5’7, 182, Miami Florida Christian), Jordan Greenfield (QB, 5’11, 190, Miami Beach), Khamarian Young (WR, 5’11, 166, Hollywood McArthur), Josh Sylvain (WR, 6’3, 186, Miami Carol City), Jordan Lubin (RB, 5’9, 196, Miami Felix Varela), Tristan Carr (WR, 5’7, 150, Miami Sunset), Darriel Cannon (RB, 5’6, 166, Miami Gulliver Prep), Savion Moss (WR, 5’7, 150, Miami Sunset), Keyondre McClover (WR, 6’1, 203, Coconut Creek), Lennon Maher (PK, 5’7, 150, Miami Palmer Trinity), Joshua Fertil (TE, 6’0, 221, Miami Sunset and Jamison Larsen (QB/TE, 6’3, 223, Miami Palmetto).

The Class of 2028 was also very much on display with some impressive talent. Among those were Ke’Shawn Paschall (RB, 5’7, 173, Coconut Creek Monarch), Darius Bogan (WR, 6’1, 172, Miami Southridge), Tromon Isaac (WR, 5’10, 181, Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna), Dedrick Melvin (RB, 5’8, 190, Homestead), Alex Machado (WR, 5’6, 161, Miami Sunset), Ethan Fishbein (QB, 5’11, 166, Pembroke Pines Charter), David Ortuno (WR, 5’8, 150, Miami Sunset), Dillan Ebanks (WR, 5’6, 140, Weston Cypress Bay), Brayan Padron (WR, 5’7, 160, Miami Sunset), Cayden Delions (RB/Athlete, 5’10, 180, Coconut Creek), William Bryant (QB, 5’10, 185, Miami Coral Reef), Peter Pierre (TE, 6’4, 215, Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna), Alexander Ortega (WR, 6’3, 170, Miami Coral Reef), Jacob Rubin (OL, 6’0, 225, Southwest Ranches Archbishop McCarthy) and Laulelei Sualevai (OL, 6’5, 288, Miami Christopher Columbus).

As impressive as the seniors and juniors were at the camp, there was a large group of 2029 sophomores that set the table for the future as well.

The coaches were bowled over with players such as Angelo Mora-Echeverry (RB, 5’8, 185, Miami Belen Jesuit), Matthew Edwards (WR, 5’4, 130, Miami Carol City), Kevin Carter (WR, 6’2, 180, Fort Lauderdale Dillard), Alfonso Llanes (QB, 5’10, 180, Miami Ransom Everglades), Evans Branch (WR, 6’3, 197, Miami Ransom Everglades), Hudson Camp (QB, 6’1, 190, Southwest Ranches Archbishop McCarthy), Christopher Wilkinson (WR, 5’7, 160, Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna), Jerimiah Kasen (WR, 5’7, 135, Miami Killian), Yudah Poke (WR, 5’10, 185, Miami Killian), Jeremiah Lee (QB, 6’1, 190, Miami Killian), Edward Kay (WR, 6’1, 170, Coconut Creek North Broward Prep), Jayden McFarlane (WR, 5’8, 135, Miami Coral Reef), Nathan Velasquez-Hevia (OL, 5’7, 190, Miami Sunset), Ethan Jones (WR, 6’2, 200, Southwest Ranches Archbishop McCarthy), Rashard Williams (OL, 6’3, 280, Miami Carol City) and Mason Maduro (OL, 5’11, 304, Miami Gulliver Prep).
