Recruiting News

As we continue to break down the under-the-radar prospects in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties this week, we turn our attention to the quarterbacks and running backs.

With a look at offensive linemen, receivers and defensive backs so far, we have been able to bring you talented football players who have not reached that spotlight level – and as you know – we are out to change that.

Because there are so many gifted football prospects in the two counties, it is never easy to give each player a piece of that coveted spotlight, but that is always our objective as we try and cover events all over south Florida.

While there are several prospects that we may overlooked, we are always asking coaches, players and parents to let us know about those gems that are not getting recognition in every class.

QUARTERBACKS ARE GETTING MORE EXPOSURE

While we try and attend camps, combines, games, practices and off-season 7-on-7 events, the quarterback position is ever changing, and we try to include as many as possible.

Some of the 2027 quarterbacks include Chammbrayy Campbell (Hialeah American), Christian Lois (Miami Braddock), Jah'mar Morris (Homestead) and Jordan Fernandez (Miami Gardens Monsignor Pace).

Miami Northwestern’s Donta Kinchens is a rising 2028 player.

Among the 2029 prospects that deserve some of the spotlight are Hudson Kamp (Southwest Ranches Archbishop McCarthy), Trevor Gonzalez (Cooper City), Alfonso Llanes (Miami Ransom Everglades), Cassius Enriquez (Hallandale), Sean Davis (Doral Academy) and Isamyn Gray (Miami Booker T. Washington).

RUNNING BACKS ARE COMING ON FAST

One of the positions that Miami-Dade and Broward have always rolled out talent as is running back. There are some under-the-radar prospects to keep an eye on.

In Class 2027 there are Josiah Knight (Pembroke Pines Charter), Ishmael McNichols (Miami Norland), Esteban Laluz (Miami Florida Christian), Claude Dauphin (Miami Carol City) and Miguel Valdez (Hialeah American).

Juniors (2028) are led by Miami Coral Reef standout Amari Germain, Jermaine Green (Miami True North Classical Academy), Marcos Gonzalez (Doral Academy) and Dorian Bentley (Miami Norland).

The Class of 2029 runners are led by Trayvon Johnson (Miami Booker T. Washington), Azion Gracia (Miami Gardens Monsignor Pace) and Dedrick Melvin (Homestead).
